Fairfield Inn by Marriot Binghamton

Breakfast was very good.

We were very disappointed that the Pool was not working. We specifically booked this Hotel knowing the poll would come in handy. The kids went down to use it and it was so cold they had to leave. I asked the staff about it and they said a repairman was coming the day after we left. I feel they should have notified us about that during check in but was instead told where the pool was. A discount on our room would have helped a bit but there was none of that. Very disappointing that they are all about the almighty dollar and not customer satisfaction.

I liked the location and the bed was very comfortable.

Let me start by saying that I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and love Marriotts. Unfortunately, for the first time I had a terrible experience. As soon as I walked in the room there was a sock on the floor in the open closet. Then I noticed how small the room was compared to other rooms I have had with a king size bed. The bathroom was so small that you had to squeeze in to close the bathroom door. It was ridiculous. My nightmare continued when I went to take a shower and saw hair all over the walls. It was terrible. The crazy thing is the night before we stayed in a Comfort Inn with a hot tub and the room was huge and very clean and the bed was just as comfortable. We had driven in for a wedding and decided to come a day earlier at the last minute and booked a room with Comfort Inn before we left. If I would have known the room at the Marriott was going to be so gross I would have stayed at the Comfort Inn for a much cheaper room at the Marriott and much nicer. Not a great experience at all.
