Novotel Geelong

the location

The Entire 4th floor tower block of the Novotel Geelong Hotel was under construction. If we had of gone through Novotel Geelong we would have been notified, booking.com failed to provide or contact us regarding this vital information Therefore our room with a king size and a fold out bed for our family was positioned directly on on top of the loud work site. The noise was horrendous. We had to get the manager up to listen to the noise in our room to understand how loud the noise was from 6am, onwards. There was a power outage also from 12am -4am, on the last night we stayed. The Novotel staff were very apologetic did give us a discount on breakfast, valey parking and room charge however it has made the entire experience re-think how we now will book.

Nothing

We were told that works on the building were only during the week only to be woken up on Saturday by workers. The rooms are old and dirty. And my car was damaged by valet parking staff. When I complained I was told that is wasn't their staff after my brand new car had not been parked anywhere else.

No free parking with the room, they expected you to pay more money on top of the room cost.

The location was great and room was nice.

Parking is not included but you will only read that in property policies which states $50 per day. It is also not onsite, but is at the Westfield carpark. This was disappointing and the property highlights are misleading in relation to this.

I loved the bar down stairs so quick and easy for a sit down and drink with food was excellent

The bathroom sliding door not enough privacy can see on the reflection of the mirror of whoever is having a shower or going to the toilet

The breakfast was great.

Being situated in construction site and not being informed of this before booking/payment. Very noisy, dirty and unsightly.

Beds need a change, mattress was uncomfortable
