It's great that old Hotels like this exist and Crowne have taken on its custody. However, a basic tenant of a hotel is that guests can get some sleep. In the case of this hotel it is severely impacted by the noise from the always busy dual carriage next to the property which the old sash windows cannot keep out. Each night i woke in the early hours to the noise and struggled to get back to sleep. There's other areas for improvement around the hotel such as the water fountain not working on the gym and whist the breakfast is sufficient it's not yet to the high standards of other crowne plazas that i have stayed in. The hotel location is a bit of of the way and a good 20-25 walk into the main city area and unfortunately takes you through a bit of a rough area. Would i stay there again? Maybe. The place just needs a bit more 'love' showing towards it.

Really good hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Staff are excellent and the service was superb. We can also highly recommended the breakfast. Only one issue really is that the sauna is self service so you would have to wait 20 minutes for it to warm up. Small complaint jn yhe scheme of things.

Lovely hotel, great staff and varied breakfast. The only downfall was the bath and linked shower were tight and whilst I am tall k am very slim. Just not wide enough so showering was awkward.

First time here after many visits to Sheffield. It stands head and shoulders above some of the more popular and ‘trendy’ properties in the city. If the quality is consistent (and I will be back to check), this hotel will be a no-brainer when I book Sheffield for future trips, business and pleasure

Beautiful hotel within walking distance to the city centre. The decor was beautiful

Enjoyed my short stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and most importantly the breakfast was excellent!
