Holiday Inn Corby Kettering Hotel & Spa

Really disappointed with the cream tea here. We had the spar package with the facial and tea. This was a birthday treat for my daughter and wished I’d gone somewhere else. Before the hotel was done out my husband and I came here and couldn’t fault it so thought come back. The stand the sandwiches came out on, if you can call them sandwiches was broken. Brown lettuce, order wrong, could see where they had made the wonky cut sandwiches with pressed finger marks on bread. The bread was dry and stale and no butter for the scone also the cream was awful. Don’t visit this place if you’re expecting a well presented freshly made tea. Very very horrible. Mrs B

My room had an infestation of small flies that appeared to be living mostly in the curtains. After a shower and having dinner I returned to the room to find the shower cubicle littered with dead flies. Despite informing reception and being assured someone would go and assess the situation and at least take some fly spray maintenance did not attend until the following morning. There were no other rooms available in the hotel so I spent an hour before I went to sleep, swatting flies and killing around 30. I was also bitten twice, once on the chest and once on the wrist. I contacted the IHG customer support unit they said as the matter was addressed (by me) during my stay, they would no offer any compensation only a goodwill gesture of 5000 points on my account, enough to get me a £5 discount on a hotel room. Disappointed is not the world and I will be suggesting to my company that we do not attend that venue again.

Pet facilities and how friendly staff were towards my pet- the support staff offered when my pet required unexpected emergency surgery. The food at the bar was very yummy
