Pondok Taksu Bali

The location was very close to the city and a short walk yo the beach. It is on a side road which we loved because it is away from the main traffic noise. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. Always smiling. The gas station mart is about a 7 minute walk to get bottled water and snacks.

We left early. We smelled cigarette smoke from people smoking outside the door even with it closed at different hours of the day and night. The neighbors have roosters that wake you. We heard a dog barking sometimes, but it ended quickly. The shower in the bathroom was a bit too much for us. The shower is right next to the toilet. You close the wooden door and shower off with the hand held hose. After walking around, we were disgusting from the humidity and always felt the need to do a quick rinse but we hated the shower so we didn't. There is no breakfast at the property which we were aware of, but wanted to mention for future readers. The walk to the mart was short, but traffic was insane. You have to cross quick and stay as far to the side as you can or else you can easily get clipped by a bike.

Name of the rooms (mahabharata and ramayana themed) and little garden.

They don't do cleaning or change bedsheets while you are staying. So, if you are in kuta for short stay like less than a week, it is good guest house in budget.
