Hampton Inn & Suites Charleston-West Ashley

I had to change rooms because of the toilet being so low. She happily made the change to I guess a suite. It had a tub which is a problem if it was a handicap room. Also, I passed on the breakfast. Very sparse and uninviting. However, I would still stay there again but I’d be more specific. Hamptons never disappoint.

Stayed here bc of one prior visit and good reviews overall. We were in the area to visit family for Tgiving and hotel had 1 BR suites at a fair price. Very clean overall. Easy checkin and I found the front desk staff to be very pleasant. The free coffee in the lobby was actually pretty good. My husband liked the breakfast - I couldn't comment bc I don't eat breakfast. The hotel was busy but once in our room I never heard a sound in the hallway or outside. 4th floor room very clean; lots of outlets and ports to charge devices; bed pretty comfy; everything worked as it should. A bonus for me was the ceiling fan in the bedroom and a venting fan in the bathroom. Most 3 star hotels don 't have these. Three suggestions to hotel mgmt: it's time to replace the sleeper sofa in the living area - it's getting dilapidated. Also please add an armchair and some kind of table in the liv room area - all there is is a small uncomfortable sofa! It was not a good place to hang out for 2 long evenings. And really, there could be basic plates and cutlery and even some plastic glasses in the kitchenette. But overall this hotel is a "5" and I could come back.

Everything was clean and the staff was nice and helpful.
