I liked you were pet friendly. I did not like that the rear entry door did not close on its own. You could gain access without a room card.

We stayed 4 days and never got clean towels or fresh bedding. We asked for new towels and was told they were out and we were given hand towels.

The check in process was easy the clerk was very professional and prompt

Everything was ok. Breakfast was not available as stated which is big part of our stay.

It’s dated, nore more dated than I remebered the last time I stayed a few months ago. It’s not as clean as I remember. It’s just the bathroom floor grout that seems like it could stand to get cleaned better. Other than that, the hotel is cool. The grassy areas for the dog is decent. The grass is clean and thick. It’s cut! All good!

I often travel for business and I like to stay at hotels in the Hilton chain. In my judgement, this site is at the lower end of Hilton's standards for their Hampton Inn brand. It's not what I would consider to be a "bad" place, but each time I've stayed there (usually a week or two at a time), I've always had some minor annoyance. In a previous stay, Room Service took the bar of complementary hand soap and didn't replace it. (One bar of soap can last me at least a couple of weeks.) So I used shampoo from the shower to wash my hands. This latest stay, the TV abruptly quit working so they had me change rooms. Then I found there was no shampoo in the shower of the new room, so I had to use body gel to wash my hair. I travel for business, so I always need a receipt. I'm used to having the hotel just email a copy rather than print one. They did say they would email the receipt, but never did. Fortunately, as a Diamond member I can go to my online account and download an electronic copy from there. For business travelers who don't have an online account with Hilton, not receiving a receipt would be a major inconvenience. For business requirements, I need to be at the local office by 5:00 AM each morning so I have to leave before breakfast is served (usually leaving around 4:30 AM). At this location, there's no coffee available at that time of the morning. This isn't a complaint. I fully appreciate not making coffee when there's no demand for it. I'm just pointing out that some Hampton Inn's have coffee available overnight, and some don't. This location doesn't. Finally, the most annoying thing about this location (for me) is that all the rooms I've stayed in have toilets designed such that the seat can be raised, but it won't stay up on it's own. This means male guests must hold the seat up with one hand or not raise the seat at all. (I prefer to have the seat raised.) Perhaps I'm being picky, but I just don't understand the logic of such a toilet design. As I said, this isn't a "bad" location but when you stay here, be prepared to accept one or more minor inconveniences.

Negative 1. bad pet smell and I did not hear one vacuum running each day to vacuum those rooms of pet hair and dander, I have bad allergies to dog dander and was miserable. 2. property is ditry and run down 3. bad odor in rooms and hallways 4. no conveniant store for asprin or toothbrush those things you might need in the middle of the night and dont want to go to a store in a town you are unfamiliar with at o'dark thirty. 5. Free breakfast did not look good so i didnt even try. 6. hall noise is easily heard in rooms 7. I wish hotels would not allow smoking the natural herb on property some people dont like the smell of it and why do we have to be exposed in the parking lot, in the elevator and then in the room. I had to put a towel against my door to keep the smell out of my room. Positive 1. most of the staff was kind 2. the beds were comfortable 3. the tv is very large with limited channels. 4. the air worked well but did drown out the tv sound since it was so loud. 5. the shower was good and the bathroom is nice but could be cleaned better, particularly floors and toilet. 6. towels were rough, i actually happen to like it that way though 7. they serve coffee in lobby as late at 8 pm, I dont know actual hours but that's whe I was able to get some and I like a coffee night cap due to my coffee addiction. 8. Has a nice refrigerator and microwave. This place can easily be better by cleaning better the hotel inside and outside including elevators, vacuum and even shampoo carpets at least quarterly, clean outside propery so it is clean and easy on the eyes, off at least small packages of essential for buy or free like asprin, allergy meds, maybe tooth brush and tooth paste and some simple snacks like candy bars in case someone has some diabetic incident there at least you would have something readily available. Run that vacuum like there is no tomorrow because there are lovely fur babies all through that hotel!!! Mashall is a neat little historic town, so very cool to experience. the people of the town are so kind and it's very heartwarming. I did enjoy my visit but not the hotel and I will choose another next time. Overall I can not and will not stay again due to the pet smell and my pet allergies as well as the cleanliness. A hotel doesnt have to be fancy for me as long as it's clean and sanitary, key word being Sanitary!1
