Hampton Inn Daytona Shores-Oceanfront

We had a very disappointing stay. Despite arriving in the area early and checking in with the hotel around 1:00 PM, our room was not ready until after 6:00 PM, which was extremely inconvenience especially while traveling with teens and younger children. We specifically requested rooms together or at least on the same floor, and this was not honored, creating unnecessary stress for our family. The lobby had a strong, unpleasant odor, and unfortunately the rooms were outdated and also smelled bad. The air conditioner was extremely noisy, and the refrigerator barely kept items cool. While the site clearly stated that beach access was unavailable, it did not disclose that the pool was also closed, which was disappointing and significantly impacted our stay, particularly since this was a family trip. Breakfast options were very limited, and when we asked the front desk for plates and forks, we were initially refused. It took three separate requests before we were finally given basic utensils. To make matters worse, the second-shift front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, which only added to the overall negative experience. Overall, this hotel did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness, amenities, or customer service. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it, especially for families.

We have stayed here a few years ago, but I don't remember the parking being such an issue. The area to park is very limited and it was so dark that I was not feeling comfortable and safe getting out of my vehicle. They also charge you to park with this type of issue, which is a joke. They do have parking across the street, but the night we were there, there was a big event at the church right across the street and it was a madhouse with a police officer directing traffic in the road. In the morning I was looking forward to the fresh waffles. I didn't see the waffle machine, so I asked about it and the kitchen attendant said the waffle iron had just broke about 10 minutes ago. I cannot believe that you would only have one iron to start with! Very disappointed!

We stayed overnight as a family for a one night stay. We were disappointed the pool was closed without prior knowledge. I am a very loyal Hilton member. Felt this location was ok for a one night stay, as you are driving through. We had a ocean view. Curtains had stains and a hole in them. For the money, to be on the ocean, its a value/get what you pay for.

It was not a clean place to stay. I booked 3 rooms for my family and no one was satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms. Hair was EVERYWHERE. I went to shower and I find a long strand of hair in the towel I was going to use to dry myself with.
