Hampton Inn Detroit/Belleville-Airport Area

Very clean and although still in the middle of renovations the new rooms were lovely.

This location is under a major renovation. You have to step around buckets of concrete and stand on cardboard at a desk that is covered in plastic. You can hear drills while trying to rest. The main entrance is roped off. To get to your room they send you around the building to a door with no handle. No apologies and no discount.

Stayed at Hamptons many times but would not recommend this one to anyone. Public areas are inaccessible due to renovations. Room was great but the washroom door did not lock. Worst of all, the staff was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. It seemed as though they’ve never worked at a hotel before, not a single staff member smiled or tried to create a positive atmosphere and we are very polite so there was no reason not to. I couldn’t help but understand from this experience that the staff had some prejudice against minorities.

I booked this property to unwind after a wedding weekend before flying home the next morning. We wanted to swim and relax. When I arrived, the lobby was COMPLETELY gutted and a loud jack hammer was operating. Someone pointed to a portable table set up for the girl working there. She was not only working in unsafe conditions (hearing, dust, etc) but proceeded to try to check me in as if nothing was happening! The pool was closed and covered with a tarp. There was no indication anywhere that notified me of closed amenities and/ir noise. I immediately requested a refund and walked next door to the Holiday In. express instead. Shame on Hampton for charging regular fees with no transparency.

Hotel is under construction, which had I known, I wouldn't have stayed there. Rooms were recently done, but there was no swimming pool as that was under construction. Also, the breakfast area was a temporary set up. I believe construction will be done in a couple of months. There was also very limited parking.

The actual room was clean except they may want fix the bathroom door because they d not close.. a barn style door that just slides open.

They had the first complete gutted cement floor all other machines and tools in the way not being able to enter the front door. No pool/hot tub. Parking was a joke because of all the shipping containers taking up the parking spaces

Clean, updated room. Quiet environment. Easy off the highway location. Free parking. Lobby and pool were under construction. Had to leave early so can’t speak to the breakfast.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Dirty area where breakfast being served. Pool closed. I'm sure it will be a good property after construction is done.

Nice hotel for the price. You can find better but you will pay more. Everyone was friendly right down to the breakfast workers.
