Onvriendelijk ontvangst door receptionist die ook nog eens meerdere malen zeer onsmakelijk en luidruchtig zijn neus ophaalde. Dat zette de toon voor dit verblijf dat eigenlijk heel goed was. Maar ja de eerste indruk is dan niet goed.

Staff were very attentive and friendly. Nice big pool. I would stay here again if in the area. Good tasty food. Nice breakfast included in room rate. We had dinner here a few times and we alway got a massive portion and the food was very nice. We booked a half day bundala safari trip and a half day Yala park safari trip through the hotel and it was well organised, they gave us a packed lunch. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. We told our driver we wanted to see a leopard and he made sure we did so we are very happy customers. Nice big room with lots of space and a fridge.

Everything is quite far away from this hotel if you are walking around but if you have transport it is no problem.

Beautiful, peaceful setting by the lake. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool which looked great but would definitely come back again. Hotel staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay a fantastic one

Tout était parfait. L’hôtel est très bien situé pour faire le safari de Yala (organise directement par l’hôte) avec notre guide du jour, Maari, qui était incroyable, il connaissait parfaitement les lieux et savait où trouver les animaux. Nous avons également très bien manger le soir de notre arrivé à l’hôtel. La piscine est top également, un vrai endroit de tranquillité.

Lovely room, comfortable, very spacious and beautiful grounds / setting. Pool was a fantastic oasis. We booked a safari in Yala through My Village and our guide Maari did not disappoint! He went above and beyond to provide us with some epic experiences including leopard (lucky!) and some close up elephant encounters. He really understands animal behaviour and was happy to be patient and wait for just the right time. All in all, can totally recommend My Village as a base for safari in Yala (and definitely ask for Maari!)

- mooie ruime nette kamers : we werden zonder extra kost naar een kamer met tweepersoonsbed verplaatst nadat we per ongeluk een kamer met 2 aparte bedden geboekt hadden - schoon en groot zwembad (wel aan overkant straat, maar geen probleem) - hygiëne is top - lekker ontbijt (ook mogelijkheid om het mee te nemen op safari) - mogelijkheid om ‘‘s avonds te eten : lekker, wel aan de dure kant - ze organiseren safari’s (waren voor ons duur in vergelijking met andere en dus wij boekten zelf eentje)

- personeel spreekt weinig tot geen Engels (maar wel zeeeeer vriendelijk!) - enkel mogelijkheid om cash te betalen - buiten een safari , valt er eigenlijk niet veel te beleven op deze locatie

My Village has a real ‘safari’ theme. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the food very good - the kitchen was spotless - they obviously take great pride in their establishment. They organised an excellent safari guide, Charmera, who has 10 yrs experience and a very sharp eye for spotting wildlife.

there was nothing we didn’t enjoy about the property. We would stay there again.
