Jacir Palace Hotel Bethlehem

The hotel was like an oasis with both a garden and a swimming pool in the city. The historic ambience and the super friendly staff added to the pleasurable stay. The outdoor restaurant could do with some upgrading and thus attract even more people

Our room was large and very clean. The bedding was wonderful and I slept soundly! Staff were friendly and directed us to a great restaurant within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The staff was attentive and courteous. While the entire hotel is not a historic structute the main buliding is bautifuly preserved. The facilities are nice, but you can easily get losts in the hallways if you are not careful. Overall, it was a great stay.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel (Jacir Palace) over the Yom Kippur weekend. It was a busy time for them, but our stay was wonderful- absolutely beautiful historic main building, very friendly staff who spoke English, Hebrew and Arabic (and probably more), a great pool, numerous restaurants, bars and other public spaces, and close enough to walk to sites of interest or easy and cheap taxis. We felt spoiled after a great two days. Bethlehem itself was easy to get around in, with lots to see and do. The one suggestion: yikes, early September in Israel and the West Bank is too hot for this mid-westerner! We'll go during another season next time (although there WAS that great pool...).

Es ist ein wunderschöner Bau, so dass man denkt, man wohnt im Märchenschloss. Dafür, dass es ein Interconti ist, müssen die Herren in punkto Sauberkeit ihren Blick noch etwas schärfen. Es war z.B. am nächsten Nachmittag am Pool immer noch das klebrige (vermutlich Cola oder Torte) vom Vortag auf dem Liegestuhl verschmiert. Es ist auch nicht gut, wenn das Zimmermädchen die Gäste auf dem Gang nicht grüßt oder den entgegengebrachten Gruß nicht erwiedert. Selbst wenn man die Sprache nicht spricht, genügt ja ein freundliches lächeln für die Gäste. Im Badezimmer haben wir eine Toilettenbürste vermisst.

The outside of the hotel was nice however, the rooms were filthy. It seems to us that the hotel was nice in the past (maybe 5 years ago) but it really needs a thorough cleaning. There were 2 tour busses full with African missioners. It was really loud with the prayers and the parties. Overall, we wouldn’t go back to this hotel. Jerusalem is 20-30 minutes away...it’s is nicer, cleaner and you’ll find better hotels.

En smuk bygning i udkandten af Bethlehem. Værelserne er fine men noget slidte. Der manglede et par el-pære på vores værelse og bruseforhænget havde set bedre dage. El-pærerne blev dog skiftede straks vi nævnte det i receptionen. Personalet var meget service orienterede og hjælpsomme. Rent sengetøj hver dag - dejligt! Desværre var morgenmaden meget kedelig og de ting der stod i varme fade (spejlæg, kartoffelmos etc.) og burde være varme, var alle sammen kolde ;-( Juleaften fik alle gæster en lille gave, det var en sød detalje.
