This hotel is little bit off from the main roads and attractions and hence you have to depend on a cab. This is where it gets interesting. Since all the guests have to depend on a means of transportation, there is a group operating in the premises under the full knowledge of the hotel transport and logistics supervisor who are taking advantage of this situation to their benefits. if you ask the hotel to arrange a cab they charge you exorbitant amount. for a day trip to the attractions they were asking above 5000 INR and for a dinner in town they were asking 1500, to and fro with a wait time of 2 hours. I contacted my friends from Kashmir and they suggested to use the local uber like app which is called Jugnoo Taxi. I booked a cab through the app to goto the restaurant in town and the charges shown was 135 INR. The car came to pick us up and and we were leaving the hotel, two guys who seems to be the drivers of taxis who were operating under the group I mentioned they stopped the car in the road and started questioning the driver. The driver was explaining that he picked up the order from the app. I did nt like the fact that we were stopped by them in thugs style in the middle of the road, while I am still within the hotel property and I intervened and told them I booked this cab through the app. they insisted that I show them my mobile, and I had to just to convince them. I asked them what is the problem and they said I have to take the cab from the hotel only. I told them, I dont have to and I have the right to order a licensed taxi and it is my choice not to accept to book a taxi through the hotel. it was quite evident they were all scamming the hotel guests with the knowledge of the staff from the hotel. It is such a shame that a well known brand like Lalit would allow such a behaviour within their property targeted at their own guests. I am not expecting the usual apology from the hotel quoted in sugary words :) , I dont need it. because I am not coming back

Room assigned to us was bad and we had to fight the lm to get it changed. They also did not extend the chk out time even by 30 minutes. We were sitting at the reception after chk out with not a soul in sight and could not understand why they will be this unfriendly. Will never go back

Property is huge with beautiful gardens and centrally located. Room had a lovely view was big in size and very comfortable
