The Laurel Inn, part of JdV by Hyatt

Dated but clean rooms though there is a strong smell of perfumes throughout the building. Rooms are nice and dark, but beds are not so comfortable. They serve coffee in the lobby, but it was always gone by the time I got down there around 8am (to be fair, it was packed with business travelers, but staff was in no hurry to refill.) Great location with coffee shops around the corner. Nice to have onsite parking.

This a great spot for able bodied couples looking for a spot in near all the sites in the City. Bring your own pillow - they are a bit hard. As a disabled travel - I can’t recommend this Hyatt over others. The rooms are very difficult to navigate and get to. It is very loud (walks and floors are old and thin). But the staff is exceptional and if you are not planning to be in much - the location is great. It’s clean and beautiful. There is a lack of storage, counter space, and a place to put things when in bed. These were my only cons.

My wife and I enjoyed a weekend getaway at this lovely mid-century gem of a hotel. Older but still stylish and well maintained. Perfect location for exploring the Presidio. Enjoyed breakfast at the JCC across the street. Hotel bar (The Laureate) was top notch!

I roomed with a friend of mine and it was a great experience. The hotel staff were very hospitable and accommodating throughout my 5 day stay! The room and hotel was very clean, even though the decor is a little dated, the bathroom is fully renovated. The room we were in had 2 double beds, a desk with 2 chairs, and a dresser. I noticed they cleaned the entire lobby (including couches and chairs) while I was there, which reinforces how they prioritize cleanliness. They had great recommendations for nearby eateries and did not hesitate to provide us many options. The location was great! Quiet yet walkable to Pacific Heights neighborhood where I needed to get to every day. There is a great cafe, Barista Cafe, around the corner from the hotel which offered healthy breakfast options & great coffee/matcha lattes! I am scheduled to return to the same area in August and plan to stay here again! Highly recommend - just know that you the room gives "Golden Girls" vibe, which I am totally fine with!

This was a one day work trip where I needed a convenient boite at which to freshen up and take shelter for a few hours. The location, transportation access, and amenities far exceeded my expectations. The staff and location were lovely. I will stay again should my work bring me to the area. (And possibly even if not. Cute quiet neighborhood great access to green spaces and diverse food choices.)

Little older than expected

It was kind of a motor Inn vibe. Weren’t notified there would be major construction outside. We had room by elevator which was also loud. Cookies in lobby were nice touch. Close proximity to Presidio was nice.
