The friends I was visiting recommended this place, as they'd stayed there several times when they were house-shopping on the east side of Yakima. Clean and quiet are my primary requirements. Pros: Very convenient and easy to find location. Lots of available parking. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. They were nice enough to accommodate my (1 hour) early check-in request. Perfectly adequate complimentary breakfast buffet. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable Cons: A surprising lack of conveniently accessible electrical outlets. None of the desk or nightstand lamps had any outlets, which was a bit of a surprise given our modern reliance on electronic devices. Consequently, I had to unplug a few things in the vanity area to make room for my cell phone and iPad chargers. Unfortunately, the folks directly above me got very active around 4AM. It sounded like they were moving the furniture around, even if they probably weren't. I realize that's somewhat out of the hotel's control, but it wasn't conducive to uninterrupted sleep. Bottom line: Would definitely stay there again. Although not directly on the freeway, the street in front is a major arterial. Therefore, I opted for the river-view room and it was well worth the slight upcharge for the peace and quiet of the back-side rooms. The only thing I'd change next time is to request a fourth floor room so nobody would be above me.
USLooked forward to a full complimentary breakfast each morning and the evening complimentary snack and glass of wine or beer. The 10 mile long Yakima walking path is right outside the back door and runs along the Yakima River. This is our third year staying at the Oxford Suites Yakima, and I can't wait until next year!

Quite possibly the best hotel experience we have had. Clean, quiet, excellent service. Our room was top notch. The staff is friendly and engaging. Love the grounds and view of the river. The price was exceptional.
From the kind and efficient service at the front desk to the clean, well appointed room my entire experience was first rate. My small suite was quiet, and the balcony overlooking the river was a nice place to sit. The complimentary drinks and breakfast buffet were a lovely and unexpected bonus. I’ve stayed in a number of hotels in Yakima and this was the best I’ve experienced. 10/10 would stay here again.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. The free/included soup and drink in the evening was very good and the breakfast buffet was good as well. We will look for Oxford Suites on future visits to the west coast.
Everything was really good! The hotel staff are nice, the breakfast and bar were amazing, and the room was comfy and clean.
