AUA beautiful property with amazing gardens. Peaceful and unique however we felt the rooms could definitely do with a makeover. A bit of a musty smell and could be freshened up. Staff were very friendly though.

Our room wasn't in the main or adjoining buildings but at the back of the property - more like 'donga' accommodation than a hotel and very tired. The shower was tiny; no mini bar or bottled water; poor quality tea & instant coffee and the usual UHT milk. The property could learn from regional motels in relation to maintenance, cleaning, spare blankets, fresh milk, coffee pods, & toiletries. The restaurant is not fine dining. The steak was poor quality, over cooked and served with a pile of steamed kale and a giant cooked onion. Both meals looked unappealing, and the wait staff were inexperienced and provided poor service. The hotel doesn't appear to have taken action on guest feedback. At check out, the receptionist didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay - I'm sorry to say that we didn't.

The room wasn’t super clean. I wouldn’t say it was dirty, but definitely run down and there was a lot of spiders in the room. I know this is to be expected considering the rural location but the webs were quite big and there were 7+, felt like not much effort was made to tidy it up.
