Amazing location and once upon a time amazing facilities. Also nice offering if activities and things to do

It’s tired. The facilities need a bit of fixing and renovations as does the staff. Both the building and the service is just nice enough. Reception - friendly but don’t know their customer. E.g have you been there before or not? Have you spent money there or not? Huge missed opportunity. The lady welcomes me to Fairmont for the first time - rather than know I spent 30k there for my team less than a year ago. Also gave me a duck when we had two kids etc etc Pre approval - all the pre messages are annoying and to the then send a message and charge for parking in the middle of nowhere is just rude!! Surely the Fairmont isn’t in such desperate need of money. Very rude as your guests have no choice but to park there Restaurants - now this is where the shocker is. The cafe upstairs - service very very slow and average. Even the signs in the fridge in front of the sandwiches and pastries are wrong cause nobody bothered to look. Italians restaurant downstairs - food very very average and service is shocking. They are stressed out of their brain with only 5 tables and also food arrives different times etc etc Overall - the Fairmont is charging premium rates but is delivering a 2-3 star service and facilities. The thing is though - it wouldn’t be hard to fix it. Such a missed opportunity to run this to the ground

Breakfast was good.

Room not made up by 3.30 when we returned from the day out. Very long delays to get served at bar (in excess of 20min).

Restaurant was good.

Rundown . Need a big Reno . Telephone not working and old Casting doesn’t work Gym terrible Bar worse than an RSL. It hasn’t change in 35 years

Lots for the kids to do

Check in wasn’t until 3 and our room wasn’t ready until 4. Check in was too late in the day

staff very accomodating.Reception area and lounge of a high quality

rooms were very dated .Very poor quality of furniture in rooms.needs a complete refurb

Amenities in the hotel. Everything available and does not need to go somewhere. Staff were all accomodating.

Location was good

It felt dated compared to other fairmont hotels.
