Big rooms lots of space, good for families. Whisky bar was OK but the only escape from the smoke unless you were outside.

Smoke in foyer was unacceptable - like being in the bushfires...so thick it burnt my throat and affected my asthma. I asked 3 times for it to be attended to over 3 days and just given apology and would look into it. There was also a fire alarm at 3am with repeated messaging. Most likely due to faulty fireplace/flues etc,. If they can't run a fireplace properly they need to rethink heating. Otherwise the entire resort is dated, and needing a massive investment. It is expensive, but poor quality.

The location was good but the food was just average.

Open fire place in the main lobby was not suitable for people who suffer from asthma and respiratory allergies. Not pleasant when we had to walk through the lobby to leave the hotel or get something to eat. The lack of food choice was disappointing, couldn’t try other restaurants as advanced bookings is required even for hotel guests which is ridiculous.

Special thank you to Nick at reservation desk and Jack in catering. Two stand out employees who excelled in their roles.

I love the Fairmont but it is getting very tired.
