Location, lovely foyer and helpful staff.

Needed assistance to operate the TV and had a leak in bathroom tap which flooded most of the bathroom floor. We were offered another room but we were too tired to move.

We came to the Blue Mountains for 5 days with our 2 year old for our babymoon and for my partners birthday. They accommodated our request for early check in which was very much appreciated. All staff at the resort were extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby area is beautiful as you walk in and very charming. Unfortunately, despite numerous mentions of it on bookings, our babymoon and birthday were not acknowledged at all, nothing was left in the room, nothing was said or given to us at the birthday dinner we reserved at Embers restaurant, we found this incredibly strange and disappointing. Housekeeping was not the best, they skipped a day so our bins were over flowing and our towels needed changing. When they did service the room, surfaces were not cleaned and the floor was not vacuumed. There were no pool towels or bathrobes provided. We were not provided bin bags, or cutlery and plates to eat off or to cut up food so we were eating breakfast cereals out of mugs (breakfast is a whopping $38 per person, very expensive if it’s a family of you eating there everyday). Water pipes would make noise when turned on by other rooms. As mentioned by other guests, the interior is a little dated and does need a bit of paint and new carpets. The only shop on site was closed for a stock take for 3 out of our 5 days there. The sublime cafe had a lovely atmosphere by the fire. Embers restaurant dinner was lovely and again by the fire was a lovely evening. Being able to order some room service before 12pm would have been helpful with a toddler but we made it work by visiting the town for food and supplies. Location of hotel is great, scenic world in 12 mins, and lots of walks and trails in 10 mins. Leura village is 6 mins away and Katoomba about 10 mins away and very charming with lots of bakery’s. We would have loved to have utilised the auditorium for toddler but the timing of the films were far too late for a young child but the choices were good for them.

Beautiful and something for everyone

We loved the indoor swimming pool, the indoor playgrounds and walking through the grounds. We loved coming back to the hotel after a day in the cold wind and rain to a warm and comfortable hotel. All the staff were lovely.

Just needs some tweaking to push into luxury territory eg some towels near the pool. Our room was lovely but the wallpaper was peeling and there was stains on the carpet . Some Maintainance tweaks and it would have been perfect.

I loved all the activities for my grand daughters to do.
