Brydone Hotel Oamaru

Disappointing. The classical old building was expanded out the back in previous decades, and that's where many of the hotel rooms that are "being upgraded" are. Except we didn't have an upgraded room I hope - it was tired, small and the bathroom was the smallest I've seen in years.

The bathroom felt claustrophobically small. The lift lights didn't work at all during our stay, riding in the lift was only possible due to the control panel lights.

Easy check in with friendly and helpful staff. Parking for the motorbikes was secure. Room was pleasant, clean and enough room for 2 people. Good value for money in a great location to restaurants & bars etc

The toilet made constant noise and the TV kept trying to sign into an app without us touching it

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable, the room itself was clean and nicely presented, and the bathroom was well stocked with everything we needed. We also appreciated the good water pressure in the shower.
