Residence Inn by Marriott Deptford

I asked for the room to be feather free on my reservation. Upon check in I asked if this was done I was told it should be, it was not. I was there with my family to visit nearby family, therefore I had my children with me. My child found a rodent box that was placed out in the opening under the cabinets. I have never checked into a hotel that has mice traps just out in plain sight like this. The stove and surrounding areas were absolutely disgusting and filthy, no wonder there are mice. The couch was stained and pillows flattened needs to be thrown away. I asked to be moved was told there were no other rooms. Also, when we left the hotel and returned the key would not open the back door. Overall it was not a good experience and the room was horrible and could use a deep cleaning. The staff were not warm, welcoming or empathetic. Manager sent me a generic email saying sorry but please come again. Do yourself a favor don’t stay there!!!

The rooms were clean

I called a week before the booking to add my fiancé on the room and was told then that the amenities charge would be $20 a night per room. When we went for check in and I put my card in to pay for the amenities I was then told it would be $250 per room that they updated their policy the Monday after I had called. Thankfully we had the financial ability todo so, but when I had said I called the receptionist gave nothing but attitude and said that this was always their policy but then said the policy was new as of 10/21/24. I’m not entirely sure what the policy is but that was bull shit.

Booking did not pay for the room. They said booking.com card was declined an I had no room reserved for me when I got there!😡

Front desk had excellent customer service. The room was dirty. The remote fell behind the bed. It was cereal, old pictures, and plain filth. When they come to clean the room, they don't put new fresh linens. The room was vacuumed with a vacuum that filter needs to be replaced, it left an odor.
