Residence Inn by Marriott Deptford

Unfortunatelly some Marriott hotels are becoming motels. This one is a good example, smelly room with portable AC unit with pipe sticking out the window, mold in the bathroom. I stayed over 50 nights at Marriott hotels this year mostly Fairfield, Residence and Springhill. Some of them are still nice living up to the Marriott name, others are dirty and look very tired. I will start avoiding older Residence Inn properties.

The wash room only had 1 working washer we had to go to a laundromat. Which was an inconvenience to us. We have stayed at this property every year for 7 years. And have been pleased until this year.

Room needed a lot of work to be done and looked like it wasn’t been cleaned good in a while. Garbage disposal Was broke Wires hanging out from under the television I. The living room area Bathtub was clogged and need to be snaked out Pullout couch bed was torn and broken and sheets were for a twin not a full and was very uncomfortable for my daughters Refrigerator looked like it was shot with a shot gun Queen bed was as big as a full per dimensions, which made it very uncomfortable for me and my wife and our 2 year old daughter to sleep comfortably Breakfast wasn’t good and some of the food was over cooked and ended up throwing it away Right next to the highway which made it hard to sleep with the loud noises from the trucks No room Service unless you stayed more than three nights so ran out of towels every morning and needed to go and get them from the front desk since they didn’t have the staff to bring them up Paid $250 a night and was a horrible stay and so overpriced would of been better off in a motel “I would never recommend this hotel to anyone”

We was nosiy with kids running around and dogs barking. And in the morning there was kids in the breakfast area touching the food with there handsand no parents around and cruising.

Very nice staff and nice hotel in good area
