"Sheraton Santo Domingo over charges their clients when they check in and I’m sure no one notices they’re getting screwed"

I have been coming to the Sheraton Santo Domingo since 2015 and I know a lot of the staff so everyone knows me. Today I checked in but later noticed that I was overcharged but the hotel won’t correct it. The exchange rate is about 60 pesos to a dollar but the hotel is adding 4 extra pesos to the dollar and no other hotel nor restaurant does that which is unfair and seemingly illegal but I most definitely will be calling Marriott to explain the situation. All of the staff are very friendly and courtesy but obviously the management and ownership cares nothing about their clients although it shows based on the hotel is constantly losing and changing staff. I am very disappointed and offended so I doubt I’ll return.

The Sheraton Santo Domingo was a wonderful retreat for us with a beautiful location, excellent staff, great food, and outstanding service. It was our first time in Santo Domingo, and our concierge, Nelsy Montás, was the best we've ever experienced at a hotel for helping us make the most of our time there. That kind of personal touch made our experience unforgettable.

El personal, maravilloso Si no fuera por ellos el Sheraton tendría que cerrar Ana Santos y los recepcionistas nos trataron con muchísima profesionalidad y cariño

La habitación oscurisima , la moqueta antigua y sucísima el baño antiguo incomodo y las grifos con mal funcionamiento

Chambre très confortable, spacieuse et agréable. Le personnel est très accueillant. Nous sommes arrivés vers 10h30 du matin et la réceptionniste a fait l'effort de nous donner une chambre immédiatement.

Le bruit de la route, des climatisations et du casino. Équipements à rénover.
