The view from the sea view room is unforgettable. Breakfast is very good (solid five-star standard). Lobby and valet staff are very attentive.

The main issue (and it’s a significant one) is the complete lack of staff in the pool area. There were only two people responsible for a very large space, and they were unable to properly attend to the guests lounging in the sun — no menu, drinks, or towels were offered. I found this well below what one would expect from a hotel of this level, and I wasn’t the only one — a few other guests seemed just as surprised by the situation. Other than that, the hotel is fantastic.

Location. Room size. View and staff

Details were missing at every point. Room decorations were old fashioned and like serious business hotels; not like homey. Finishing of the rooms (doors, wardrobe, etc) were very old. Hotel lobby was Ok but hotel’s corridors were very old fashioned and tired. Lifts were the worst part; very slow, old and smelly. There was a bad smell in some part of the hotel (like entrance of Riva bar). Everything was overpriced. 500ml water was 10 euro. Beach was not swimmable, very rocky outside and inside of the sea.
