Travelodge by Wyndham Quesnel

Very friendly service, made us feel welcomed. Apologized pool was being serviced

Booked about 10 days prior and there was no notification that the pool was to be closed for maintenance during our stay. This was the top selling feature of why I booked at this location. Front desk just shrugged their shoulders as if to say "not my problem". They offered to cancel my reservation with no penalty but that did not solve my problem. Also, despite having the "quietest room in the complex" (tucked in a corner which was good) the traffic noise from the adjacent highway was very distracting.

I liked the chairs and ashtrays outside the doors.

Pool was nice. Beds terrible, not comfortable at all. Like sleeping on cardboard.

The pool was really nice! Was a good size, and even had some depth to it! And really quiet, had it mostly to ourselves the entire time.. Our room was pretty nice too, tho our non-smoking room did smell strongly like someone had just smoked in it, despite being told we were in fact in the non-smoking room by the front desk.

Very friendly staff. Very clean rooms. The shower temperature changed randomly and unexpectedly.

We were just passing through Quesnel, arriving at 8pm and planning to be gone by the morning. We wanted to go down to the river to watch the sunset, and then have a late dinner at the Mr. Mikes downtown. We picked this hotel because it was less than a 5 minute walk from both of those things. This place is certainly an older hotel, and so is the furniture (couch, bed, fridge, etc.). Although it is in impressively good condition and well taken care of despite that fact. Check in was quick and easy, and the man working the front desk was friendly. The price was right for the location and experience, so I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in a Quesnel.

The hotel is on the main road, so if you get a room closer to the road the traffic will keep you up. Besides that the rooms are clean and the staff is great. The continental breakfast is a bit lacking (no eggs/sausages, waffles, etc), but had toast, bagels, yogurt, apples, bananas, cereal, etc. The pool was warm and fun. Overall a good place to stay.

We put in smoking room that smelled like an ashtray. We to go buy freebreez and the fan on all day to get where felt comfortable to be in the room. The WHOLE room needed a cleaning from top to bottom. Beds were terrible and blankets needed to be cleaned. Just terrible.

Loved the heated pool qnd heating light in the bathroom. Bed was super comfy.. Nice clean area. Lot of parking. Beautiful view.
