Banff is een geliefde plaats , maar ik vind de prijs voor de overnachtingen extreem duur , het hotel is wat plek betreft heel goed , maar prijs /kwaliteit verhouding vind ik het heel duur .

The location is great. There is a ticketing desk easily to book the commercial events.

The parking garage in the basement has low ceiling between 5’-6” and 6’-1”. It’s hard to find a parking lot for standard SUVs.

I originally booked this hotel due to the proximity of the Banff Half-marathon (it also would have been nearby the start of the Melissa's Road Race).

I originally booked this hotel in September 2025 for our stay in June 2026 to attend the Banff Half-marathon. At the beginning of May we found out that we were getting a dog which I called to let the hotel know and update our room to pet friendly on May 11. The individual confirmed to me on May 11 that our request could be accommodated. However, when I called to confirm our hotel room and make sure the "pet friendly" request had been implemented the day before our trip, I was told by the front desk staff, Jody, that my request had actually not been completed but that they could see that the note had been made on May 11th. Jody let me know that they would look into my request and get back to me... After waiting for their call back after 1.5 hours I called them again to ensure that I had a pet friendly room to stay in the following day. Jody let me know that their solution would be that they would see who actually showed up on June 13th with their dog and if they didnt bring one they would be able to give me the pet friendly room - essentially not guaranteeing us a room at all which is when I asked if we should be looking elsewhere then for a pet friendly room. Jody confirmed, that us getting a pet friendly room elsewhere would actually help them and would be better for them if I could get a room somewhere else. So at 10:00pm the day before our trip we managed to secure a pet friendly room elsewhere at an increased and last minute price. I travel to Banff 2x per year to attend the Banff Half and Melissa's Road Race and I will never book with this hotel again.

This was a really disappointing place to stay. We were accommodated here as part of a package on the Rocky Mountaineer. From the sublime (RM) to the ridiculous….ly bad. The room we were allocated was musty, it overlooked an inner courtyard which housed the vents and air conditioning units for ( I imagine) the kitchens. It was so noisy that it was impossible to even consider having the window open. Fridge in the room was so noisy that we unplugged it and the furnishing are massively dated and the curtains have pulls/ snags in them and appeared filthy and there was damage and wear to the room. Tried to get moved. There was a queue of other dissatisfied guests at the reception, including one chap holding a tap which had fallen off his basin!!! My sister was also staying there having got off the RM, she and her husband decamped to an alternative hotel in Banff… an option not open to us and we did move to her room which was marginally better as the window could be opened. The hotel desperately need a renovation. I haven’t given the review one star on the basis that the beds were clean and comfortable and there was an actual kettle in the room so that we could make tea.

A truly hideous experience after coming off the Rocky Mountaineer Gold Service. Absolutely do not stay here. The rooms are really tired, stains in ceilings and walls, battered paintwork. The rooms smell really musty - grubby and tatty net curtains at the windows. Just a very downmarket seedy place. Earplugs provided because it’s very noisy downtown.

This hotel has a fantastic location: bars, restaurants, supermarket and bus stops nearby. Public areas, restaurant and coffee shop all excellent. However, the room was very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. If this was done I would rate the hotel 5/5.
