The Baronette Renaissance Detroit-Novi Hotel

Great Sat

This hotel is close to the express way and lots of shopping.

The sign for the Hotel should be higher so that you can see it like GORMANS and if you've never been in that area, the entrance to the hotel is tricky but we found it. Also, the cost is a little pricey for what you get.

Very quick check in. the room was clean the hotel was quiet and we received breakfast vouchers which was a plus.

When making the reservation, never mentioned that internet was extra. I travel in different countries the internet is always free! It cost about $10.00 US. I live in Canada. The hotel was a lot the internet was the crowning touch!

The front desk staff were very friendly, and nice.

Let’s see. Nobody to help with my bags, just moved out of my house, temporarily at the hotel for a few days. I’m hurting from moving, and I have to struggle with my own bags up to my room which couldn’t have been further if they tried. Right outside my second floor window, was a gigantic A/C fan. It woke me up every time it kicked on! Except in my room. While it was 87 degrees outside and extremely humid, the air in my room stopped working. Had to get a maintenance man up to get it back on, which he did do, and was polite. He also said, happens all the time, these units are at least 30 yrs old! There. Was no fan in the bathroom. There is no microwaves in the rooms! If you want to heat up anything, you have to get dressed go to the lobby, where there is a microwave. Wait, it gets better. They actually use 1 ply toilet paper!! Seriously!!! They say they have room service, but don’t count on it, I was told several different times there was nobody available to bring anything to my room. This hotel used to be something 25 yrs ago. Now, I will never stay there again, and I would recommend nobody else wastes their time, effort, and money at this hotel. It’s not even sub par, it’s worse.

Great weekend getaway with the wife. Clean and convenient location, shopping and dinning.

Nancy at the Renaissance Baronette is outstanding and helpful. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that our stay is wonderful when we visit family. She goes the extra mile, and the service is greatly appreciated. We feel so welcome and at home at this hotel, so we always stay here when we are in town. Thank you for making our visit enjoyable. Marriott is truly lucky to have Nancy on staff.
