Chilston Park Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous hotel, every member of staff we met were outstanding, the grounds were fabulous and the food was lovely.

Well I was expecting a room that a bit more spacious than i got, the mattress was actually very comfortable but the furniture was fairly plain, and the bathroom was nothing special...but then again I booked the cheapest option in the mews. Regretted actually just a little bit not booking the tudor park, much better room at the same or cheaper rate. Having said that the hotel was typical manor style, full of history, luxurious main house, which you don't get at business hotel. Glad I didn't use the bar, just had a cappuccino which cost 4 pounds, which I thought was too expensive. Most people seemed happy though, probably have deeper pockets than me.

Have stayed here 4 times. This was the nicest room to date - Longfellow.

Room was charming with beams and the bed was one of the best I have slept in. The only thing I would add is if you are used to a very quiet environment you get woken up by the wildlife quacking noisily in the morning and you can hear the train thrunderling past nearby. They also in our groups opinion did not have enough breakfast waiting staff on duty. One lady taking orders for the whole restaurant so we were kept waiting for an extra chair for our party but went and got one ourselves in the end. Also a better idea would be to have the fruit juices with the cereal station so you could just help yourself rather than wait for one person to take your order. Breakfast was good especially the sausages.

It was a fantastic stay. I would defiantly stay again.

Need some work on service issues like cleaning up common areas, removing used glasses and coffee cups, etc. Dinner was good but overpriced in my opinion.

I stayed at the Chilston during the half term break and found the hotel to be a delight. Friendly service, good restaurant, and beautiful grounds:6We needed a peaceful break from London and this hotel gets a thumbs up from us.
