Best bed ever!!!

Staff on arrival very friendly. Given room "october" but on entering there were cases already there. Went down to reception and we were given complimentary coffee while it was quickly rectified. The room was very nice, spacious with great views. The bed was very comfortable. The amenities were good. The first night we discovered the room was directly over the kitchen and was very noisey through the floor until about 11.30pm and again from 6.30am. There was also an air conditioning unit outside the bathroom window that was pretty noisey all the time. Overall though this did not detract from our stay. The breakfast was good on both days. Although Thursday morning had more choice on the buffet than Friday. We used the spa facilities on Wednesday evening and all day on Friday. It was nice and relaxing. However when we arrived on Friday morning we were surprised to see the end of the pool where the loungers were being jetwashed. There was water overspray blowing into the pool and over guests. This should be something undertaken when the pool is closed for health and safety surely? My husband booked champagne afternoon tea for Friday. It was very enjoyable. Good selection of food and great champagne and good coffee. A little difficult to find a member of staff to pay at the end though!

The hotel was nice overall, but there was a decidedly fusty smell to our room, and breakfast was a disappointment- the veggie sausages were unappetising, the fruit covered on wasps, and very small portions for the hot breakfast.

lovely setting, all the staff we encountered were very pleasant and friendly. The spa facilities are very good. The cooked breakfasts however were disappointing. We had to return both our cooked breakfast back after waiting for 3/4 hour for it on the first day .. We did inform them at the time and they did agree our breakfast was indeed not cooked well , that evening we found a nice bottle of red wine in our room as way of an apology. However my husbands cooked breakfast on the second day was still not up to scratch ..I stuck to continental breakfast which was nice,

Very disappointed sad to say ☹️

We were there for a wedding on July 26th. We had a large very pleasant room with a huge comfortable bed overlooking the grounds. Unfortunately there was a priblem with the toilet flush. We contacted reception Jess Davues was very hekpful and resolved the problem to our satisfaction
