"Great value and a stunning view!"

10.0

An absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The Hotel is beautifully decorated with some gorgeous rooms in the mansion itself. We stayed in King Edward on the top floor and it was magical: a stunning view, roll top bath, huge bed and beautiful lounge area. The staff are all so friendly. I have to particularly mention Max on reception, who had such patience with me when I rang up to book and was VERY indecisive about rooms. He was the reason we booked as he was so brilliant and enthusiastic! He also went out of his way whilst we were there, and printed out a sheet of the history of the hotel when I asked a bit about it. Such an asset to the hotel and deserves a mention. The food in the restaurant is spectacular - we did the 7 course tasting menu on our second night and it was really amazing. Beautiful dishes and the taste was out of this world. I know I sound like I’m exaggerating but I’m honestly not. Highly recommend! Also want to give a mention to a young man in the restaurant with dark hair (I didn’t get his name but he was disappearing off to celebrate his Granny’s birthday). His dry sense of humour was good fun, and he was friendly and professional when he served us at dinner and breakfast, despite having been up till 1am and back to work early. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend to anyone wanting a couples romantic retreat! Thank you Tewkesbury hall ❤️

Outstanding views from the hotel as it is on a hill with the golf course rolling down on all sides.Excellent restaurant with great food.Had great curry on the second day.Wonderfull seating in and around the bar.Overall a great place to stay

There are no lifts. The corridors to the rooms are a bit of a maze but once you get used to them its ok.

"A wonderful hotel in a beautiful place."

9.0

It was clean and beautifully presented, and the meal we had in The Mint was delicious.

The spa was disappointing. There weren’t enough deckchairs around the pool, or outside, and there was absolutely no view from it, which was a shame because the whole of the hotel had incredible views. We were also unable to get a strong enough WiFi connection in our room (108).

"Beautiful Location"

8.0

We had a fabulous stay at Tewkesbury Park and would definitely return. Our room was lovely with a private entrance and a beautiful outside terrace complete with rocking chairs and blankets for when it gets a little chilly while watching the sunset. The views across the countryside were stunning and incredibly relaxing. The spa was nice overall, although the terrace area around the hot tub could have been a little better maintained, the area looked slightly tired in places. The bar was pleasant, although we did have to queue for quite a while to be served on Saturday evening. However, given how busy it was that was understandable. We were slightly disappointed with our evening meal. The scallops were presented in a shell with numerous garnishes and accompaniments. While I appreciate the effort that went into the presentation it rather spoiled the whole point of a beautifully seared scallop. The additional flavours completely overpowered the scallop itself and unfortunately it was only just warm when served. What really stood out throughout our stay was the excellent staff. The lady in the spa was incredibly sweet the waiting staff were all friendly and welcoming and the housekeeper was amazing. As much as I appreciate that this is a dog friendly hotel our room did have a noticeable dog smell on arrival. The housekeeper kindly provided a lovely room atomiser which made a huge difference. A special mention must also go to the duty manager (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) she had short white/blonde hair. She was absolutely brilliant! When I mentioned our few minor hiccups at check out there was no quibbling whatsoever. She was professional understanding and made me feel genuinely listened to rather than like a moaning guest. Despite a couple of small issues we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beautiful surroundings wonderful views relaxing atmosphere and excellent customer service made for a very enjoyable break and we would happily stay here again.

"Not a relaxing stay"

6.0

This was our third visit to Tewkesbury Park. Its in a beautiful location with gorgeous views. The staff are always friendly and the b'fast is scrummy with lots of variety.

Unfortunately our room wasn't good as it was right opposite the services building so was very noisy with them moving laundry cages and bottles and there was also an event taking place and we were kept awake by the noise between 12-3am the people attending were very drunk, shouting and banging on rooms doors to be let in with no consideration of other guests staying in the hotel.
