Comfortable bed

Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Cigarette ash in the kettle. Curtains didn't fully cover the window when pulled across. Soap and dirty water stains in bath and sink. Flush handle on the toilet was faulty. Paint spilt on the floor.

Leaving it

Staff were very rude , on check in the man seemed really rushed even though we were the only ones there , gave us our key then got up and walked off was so rude , the rooms were awful and so cramped . The two young staff members in the bar , served us our drink then when we asked if we can use the pool table the girl goes “ we’re actually just about to play ye can play after us “ - we were the only people in the bar and got refused to play a game of pool because the staff wanted to play a game first - service is just awful here . There was never anyone at reception even when we were checking out we just had to leave the key on the counter and that was it.

There was one gentleman there keeping the outdoor area clean , he was the best thing about the hotel, kind , friendly and the only one good at his job!

The staff I found rude and mostly unhelpful, all the staff we encountered could do with going on a hospitality course. The hotel itself needed a good clean, while the basics were done it's in serious need of a deep clean.

I visit on a regular basis for work, usually on my motorcycle. The staff are lovely and friendly. Whilst some may say the hotel is dated, I have always had crisp clean white sheets and towels. The floors and decor are silver grey and white, so definitely not old fashioned. There are numerous eating and drinking options close by (walking distance). Pesto, Chippy, The Tavern, The Dandelion and others.

Nothing. At this price point, you get brilliant staff and a decent facilities.
