Eurostars Saint Gregory Dupont Circle Georgetown

The room was dirty, based on the good reviews I'm not sure if the man at the desk gave me the bad room because of my race or what, but the sofa had a spot, the leather chair had a spot hidden by a pillow that was also visibly dirty, the bathroom had missing fixtures, holes in the wall, and on the third day the unused bed was finally going to be slept in; however, upon pulling the sheet back there were spots that appeared to be blood, i called the front desk and they sent two sheets and a ragged throw, I abruptly left the hotel after that. It was absolute horror. Nobody who works there appears professional, like their aesthetic isn't clean, proper, or professional, and their communication style isn't professional. There are no amenities. Like, even if you are lucky enough to get a clean room, the experience isn't what I'm used to. It sucked big time, I tried to ignore the red flags upon check in because we weren't going to be in that horrible room too much anyway but yea it was totally unacceptable. I hate that with all the options in the city, I chose that run-down place. The onsite restaurant is okay, nothing to write home about. There are better options within walking distance to the "hotel"

The air conditioning unit needed to be covered with pillows so it wouldn’t blow on your face.

Overall, the hotel is quite nice from the lobby to the restaurant. The check in was quick. It’s in a great neighborhood. The main challenge is housekeeping. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned after the first night (we were gone from 9AM to 10PM). I told the front desk the next morning and he made a note to have our room cleaned. It was then cleaned, but we ended up with 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel for a double room. Housekeeping needs to be improved. You also pay an amenity fee, so the rooms should be refreshed with new water.

Nice room with plenty of space. Nice restaurant for brunch and dinners. Plenty of options near by for dining and shopping. The A/C unit made a racket when coming on or turning off waking us during the night. The elevator made a LOT of odd noises that was concerning while in the elevator. Employees said it has been like that for a while. Overall a great stay at a fair price.

I really love VIP Access hotel through expedia. The location of St. Gregory Hotel is perfect as it has access to a lot of nearby resturants, bars, coffee shops like Tatte

The staff is excellent. The dining room is excellent. It's always a 5* stay, which after 4 months of visits I can comfortably state.
