Lovely location close to plenty of the main attractions north wales has to offer

Had fish and chips in bar very poor, no requested vegetarian sausages at breakfast even though we had been told that our message had been passed to the chef Apart from the poor food the hotel stay was good

Great place to stay.. Amazing surroundings.. Room was massive and very clean... Staff were great and very helpful..

Evening meal very disappointing, vegetables over cooked and not edible, expensive for quality of food. Children's menu poor selection. Eat out on second night. Room lovely, large and comfortable bed, nice light feeling to hallway, but let down by very poor sound insulation and noisy plumbing, room on ground floor could hear every step on floor above, felt like other guests were in same room. Pool okay, change rooms very small, one shower out of order in men’s changing room, risk of water contamination. Gym equipment poor, both cycling machine out of order etc. Generally staff friendly, didn’t seem to be anyone in charge. Basic errors in breakfast set up , missing cutlery, salt pots empty. Breakfast okay not a lavish selection.

Stayed for work , had a lovely spa and swim , nice spacious rooms , bed was a little worn, nice meal and very nice staff , would definitely recommend and stay again

pretty location, nice gounds. handy for Carnaerfon and Snowdon. Friendly staff - not the best organised in bar and restaurant. Food hit & miss. Nice pool & sauna.

Staff were very kind and restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast is also good.

Hotel was a bit shabby in places. They recognised that when I mentioned iat check out and said they are about to be refurbished

After a long days walk we were nicely surprised at the grand drive through leading upto the hotel. We were really looking forward to winding down using the thermal suite, but to our disappointment, we were told that the area is sealed of due to chemical issues, this was after we were initially told to collect the towels from the reception to visit the thermal suite. After that bombshell, our room was set up as a Double, when we had actually requested and selected a twin room on this site, once that was rearranged for us, we drove to the nearest cinema to watch a movie. On our return the room was freezing cold, because the patio doors were not sealed well and a draft was coming through the gap at the botom of the doors, the reception gave us some towels to cover the gap. Our room/bathroom was designed for wheelchair users, we dident mind that, but what an awful room to have children with disabilities stay in, if it is going to be cold drafty and cold all night. Breakfast was cold, we were told to ask for hot breakfast, when it arrived my fried egg was raw and my friends was burnt. The hotel tried to ask us to book an eveinng table as the tables gets booked quickly we were told, im glad we passed, since the dining room was near empty in the evening. A real dissapointing end to what was a wonderful weekend in other outdoor activities we took part in.

Having paid £100 for a night our experience wasn't up to the standard that I would expect at that price point at this time of year, although the room itself and welcome from the staff were great. Minor issues we experienced: - The pool wasn't in use due apparently to a low supply of chemicals, which I understand has been a recurring issue. It also appears the hot tub has been out of use for some months. If I had known this we would have stayed in a hotel without a pool for about £50. - The gent's changing rooms were not as well cleaned as they should have been - The process by which breakfast is being cooked is dysfunctional, it took over 1 hour from when we ordered breakfast until it arrived - it sounds like this is a recurring issue, it seems like each breakfast is being cooked individually which is not the correct process for a hotel of this size. - We noticed quite safety critical lighting in a corridor wasn't working which made it very difficult to find our room and navigate some stairs, I did point this out to the manager on checkout but he didn't seem to express much concern. Really we should have been told to watch for this when we checked in. It looks like investment is planned in this hotel in the near future - it's clearly needed in the leisure facilities - but in the meantime it looked to use like the management are allowing basic standards to slip, I would recommend booking elsewhere if you can.
