Alta Peruvian Lodge

Love the old character of the lodge, great food, welcoming staff and service, and proximity to the base lift. Room was cozy. Demo shop was very helpful in choosing appropriate skis for the conditions.

I have stayed at the Peruvian half a dozen times. It is a long walk or short van ride from the lifts. It is the only place at Alta with a pool and jacuzzi. The room rate includes 3 meals per day and the food is good. The rooms are small and basic. We had two and one was unbearably hot. We couldn't sleep with the window open due to noise and smell from a vent outside the window. The other room was much better. The 15% resort fee is not inlcuded in the advertised room rate. The public rooms--the large lobby and sitting area and the dining area are very nice. The Peruvian is living off the loyalty of return customers.

This place is awesome. It books u fast with year after year clients. You can ski to it, but you have a 3 minute shuttle in the morning. Beautiful setting, the food is perfect, they serve breakfast lunch and dinner.

We love the Alta Peruvian! It is a comfortable, friendly, non-pretentious lodge at the base of the mountain. In addition to the great location, the food was amazing and we were able to unplug and mingle with other guests. Love the outdoor pool and hot tubs!

Retains the character that first brought me here 35 years ago. Food good, accommodations spartan and the bar hopping!!

The Peruvian Lodge offers a very unique experience with a rustic lodge style right at the foot of the mountain. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the community style meals are fantastic. The chef deserves a Michelin star!

The Peruvian is an Alta "place maker". Laid back and yet rocking' (with the P dog and the local apreski). I have enjoyed the special Peruv ambiance for over 30 years. It is always fun too skate ski to the lifts, but after a couple of full ski days I appreciate the (included) shuttle service :-)

The Peruvian never disappoints. The ambiance, the staff, the rustic elegance, the community dining where your always make new friends. Outdoor hot tubs and pool along with the dining experience makes you feel welcome. No fancy amenities, just good food, good ambiance, and excellent location.
