Travelodge by Wyndham Monroe

The last time we stayed here it was great, that’s why we booked again, but this time has been a nightmare. Only 6 channels on the television work. I booked a room with a spa tub and was informed when I got here that NONE OF THEM ACTUALLY WORK!!!! No apologies, the front desk person just shrugged and kept saying “they don’t work “ . Once we get into the room ( which smells like it hasn’t had the carpet cleaned in a while and old smoke) we run on the television and it has no signal. I call the front desk to let him know and he says he hadn’t had any problems so he doesn’t understand why it isn’t working. I asked him if he would like to come and see for himself that it didn’t work the informed me that maintenance wasn’t going to come out at his late “for something like that “. He was kind enough to tell me that I could leave if I was unhappy and return in the morning for a refund, even though he knows we just drove in from Ohio, not just because I called and told him that because we ran behind, and he made a photocopy of my Identification. Everything that happened here was unacceptable. I will be speaking to the manager in the morning about James. James is the least congenial host in all of Michigan. This is a sad tragic state of affairs. I have videos and pictures as proof of the aforementioned items, since I was previously accused of being a liar.

The room was dirty and it smells, the television doesn’t work, they advertise rooms they don’t actually have, but James is by far what I like least about this place.

the fact it was overbooked and they did not have rooms for us. had a 2 hour phone call with booking.com and still waiting on refund

How rude the front desk employees greet you that's only thing you go like about this property

unprofessional staff rude and fact I booked my room online through booking I arrived at the property and the rude hotel desk employees told me all the rooms are sold out but the parking lot was half empty the whole vibe of this property was off If this hotel sold out of rooms they should have notified me before I drove from cincinnati just to be told my room was sold
