Planters Inn on Reynolds Square

The location is absolutely perfect if you are planning on staying in the historic district. I was able to walk everywhere and take the DOT the get to other areas that were a bit farther away, like Forsyth Park.

I would say the only real downside would be if you plan on sleeping in past 7 or 8 o’clock, you might be woken up to noise from nearby construction or garbage trucks. Luckily, I had only planned on sleeping until about 8, but I did get woken up around 7 to the garbage truck.

Very comfortable. Spacious.

The room needs more lights. Reading was not comfortable. Enough light for lounging, watching TV, but needed to be brightern.

As soon as we entered the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. While this beautiful building is a little old it was extremely well kept! Great location for walking Savannah. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We highly recommend this Inn.

We didn’t like that we had to leave. 😉

A painting upgrade is needed

Location was great. I liked the boutique feel. Bed was very comfortable.

I had asked for a light in my room to be fixed and no one ever showed up.

Our stay at Planters Inn in Savannah was wonderful overall, mainly because the location truly cannot be beat. Right in the heart of historic Savannah, everything was an easy walk — the squares, River Street, shopping, restaurants, and all the charm the city has to offer. The staff was absolutely fabulous — warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They really added to the experience and made us feel at home. The hotel itself has that historic Southern character, which we appreciated and expected in Savannah. That said, I do think a bit of a facelift or refreshing in some areas would really elevate the property while still keeping its historic charm intact. One surprise was that the room did not have a refrigerator. Not a complaint, but definitely something that would be a nice addition for guests, especially during warmer months or longer stays. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would still recommend Planters Inn for anyone wanting to experience the beauty, walkability, and charm of Savannah.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent location. Able to walk everywhere in historic district.

No breakfast. But, would have ranked higher, except each night at 3am was jarred awake by the sound of cars revving and racing thru the parking deck next to the hotel across from a side street. Apparently, this happens each night. The police are called but unable to stop them. Observed a good number of individual people driving out of the deck at that hour. Employees of the bars in the area? Could police come around that time to deter or ticket those drivers? Security cameras? I know I won't be back or recommend just due to this disturbance. What a shame.
