Loved the history, the decor, the room and the check-in staff .

Location excellent. Breakfast OK but very expensive at £50

We've noticed standards of quality slipping over the last 2-3 years we have been visiting. Nothing major, but the Lygon customer offering bo longer has that premium feel. The building character and location are still as gorgeous as ever but the staff professionalism has deteriorated. Examples arw tables incorrectly set, inconsistent food quality, front of house staff chatting in front of guests, allowing customers to have video conferences on laptops at breakfast ( who wants to listen to that?!). All small issues but they affect the ambience and customer experience.

Beautiful building. Staff were friendly. We stayed for a wedding and the wedding organiser and waiter that evening were amazing. The bar staff were also very attentive. We had lots of leftovers that the hotel very kindly stored for us.

Room was small. Bathroom had steps up to it which were a bit of a tripping hazard, there was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, no shelving or areas for storing cosmetics etc. and, when on the toilet, the toilet roll was practically in your lap! The room was cold (we stayed in June) but the fan heater that was supplied was appreciated. The room wasn’t made up and tea coffee and biscuits weren’t replenished. We stayed for two nights. At breakfast we had to wait a very long time after ordering our drinks to receive them and even longer for someone to take our breakfast order. Then one of the breakfasts received was incorrect. This was quickly corrected though. At dinner (there were 8 of us in a wedding party and the meals were pre ordered) one of the meals was wrong. The meals were FABULOUS though. Normally would’ve let a little slow/incorrect service slide but for the price we expected perfection, so a bit disappointed.

Decor throughout the hotel far too dark Room sooo dark & dull & could not see in the room for hair & makeup I stayed in room 83 so had to keep blind down as people in flats opposite could see into bedroom Bathroom cleanliness not upto par Si ink plug stick so could not filter water

The location of the hotel is wonderful and the village of Broadway is a gem.

I think it is too expensive.

We live in the village and had booked a table with our dog in the Russell room. We have been numerous times over the last 10 years and mostly it has been excellent (with a few blips) and this time was no different. Staff turnover quite regularly in any hospitality venue and the current staff seem to be very helpful and sympathetic to guests needs. Special shout out to Matilda and Mario (hopefully I’ve got his name right - apologies if not). Food and drink excellent and we really enjoyed our evening. We will be back in the next few weeks. Thank you again for your hard work and making our visit memorable.

Girly group of six of us visited this afternoon to celebrate a birthday. We had pre booked the afternoon tea, which was exceptional. The staff were polite, able to explain in detail what was on offer, and on the ball regarding any food allergies. The only downside was that James Martin wasn't there.
