"Beautiful property, luxurious setting, friendly staff."

Beautiful period property set in lovely grounds, very peaceful. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Dining area very smart, used it for lunch and to meet friends for drinks.

Maybe the bathroom was a little dated, for example a very small shower cubicle.

"Another wonderful stay at the Cellars-Hohenort"

I had stayed at the Cellars-Hohenort last year and when planning my holiday this hotel was high on my list of "I must return". From the very first greeting I felt immediately at home. Service, location, food and room were all wonderful.It's not always easy staying somewhere if you are a solo traveller but everyone made me feel so welcome. My room had a balcony from which there were splendid views. It was luxuriius and well laid out. I shall definitely be returning on my next visit.

"We booked based on a friend’s recommendation and it exceeded our alteady very high expectations. Loved it!"

Gorgeous place. Everything about it was outstanding and we intend to return. Hard to single anything out bur the staff were wonderful and, even if you don’t stay, visit for a meal. The food is first class. For us the location was ideal. You may not need to hire a car for your whole stay. Ubers (by UK standards) are very cheap, and reliable. You can also use, as we did, the free hotel shuttle to get you to Constantia Village, Kirstenbosch gardens or the V&A waterfront.

"Splendid!"

I wanted to have some quiet downtime after a busy week- long conference in CapeTown. The Cellars-Hohenort perfectly met my wishes. I took strolls around the grounds, enjoyed the large heated outdoor swimming pool, enjoyed wonderful meals at The Conservatory finishing the day off with their take on the sidecar, a "French Riviera" before heading to my room for a sound and restful sleep.
