The hotel is noisy until late as night. There are a lot of kids running around the hallways and the lobby in the evening. There was also a lingering smell by my hallway. I found out online today that La Quinta, Garden City was turned into a shelter for homeless shelter. I did not feel threatened by anyone there and i do believe it’s great that these families find a safe place to stay. But when you pay to stay at a hotel you have the right to expect an other and more usual experience

"Comfy room but noisy and overpriced"

Bed comfy and big

Noisy parties worth kids running around late into the night. Breakfast was a joke. No meat at all… just waffles and cereal. We had to go elsewhere to eat

The room was clean and they replaced the carpet with a nice kind of laminate - which I loved because you know when it is clean!!!

"Disappointing"

I arrived before check in hours, but was able to get into my room early for a small fee. I enjoyed the waffles at breakfast.

The hotel was very old and outdated. The bathroom didn't feel very clean. I could hear noise in the corridors.

I booked this hotel for my husband as our normal hotel in the area was at capacity. Big mistake! It seemed like it was more of a shelter as families were living there…moms were leaving for work…children were running about in pajamas…and people were loitering outside. I’ve always thought that empty hotels would make ideal shelters for unhoused people. However, it needs to be utilized only for that purpose so that traditional patrons are able to have a peaceful stay. There was not a public space in the hotel that wasn’t packed, loud, and chaotic. My husband felt like an intruder in someone’s home. We make multiple trips to the area yearly and will not stay here again.

"Bed was comfortable and clean. Dated carpet and bathroom."

Location and staff was friendly. We were there for my son's eye surgery in the city and follow up was near Garden City the following day.

housekeeper spread a room deoderizer while we were trying to get settle in strong smell as I just needed to get my son comfortable to "recover" so I accepted it. Very loud with children in the room next door with crying and screaming from both the adults and children. STRONG smell of marijuana wherever we went on the property. Just not what was expected of this Hotel chain as we always try to stay at when we travel. Unfortunately, will be going someplace else for the second surgery ;(

"The overall stay was ok."

5.0

I like the location and cleanliness.

The property itself wasn’t an issue. The costumer service was awful. Firstly, we arrived at 8:30 pm and three employees are at the front desk engaged in conversation. No greeting from the staff. I had to interrupt them by saying I’m checking in. She asked if I had reservations and proceeded in her previous conversation with the other two employees. Then she handed me the room keys without giving us direction to where the room was. The breakfast only offered eggs as a protein. There was no other option. They were hot cereal.
