The Burgess Hotel, Atlanta, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

This is a marvelous boutique hotel in downtown Buckhead, suburb of Atlanta. The rooms are great and the hotel bar and lounge very welcoming. The service is super with great attention to detail and more. And it is not outrageously priced. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant named Fia. It's a wonderful menu for any foodie and the servers know their wines and entree very well.

My husband and I just stayed one night at The Burgess and it will be the only. Buckhead is packed full of better options for hotels. I wanted to stay here because of the trendy themed rooms but come to find out you have to specifically request one of the themed rooms and was told to email the hotel ahead of next visit to get one of those room types, which is not explained anywhere. My main problem with our stay was an immediate billing error upon check-in. I booked thru the Marriott app and paid with my Visa. At check-in, I was asked to put a card on file for incidentals, which is standard at every hotel. I put a different card on file for what I was told was only for incidentals. However, the newer employee proceeds to bill the wrong credit card for both the room charge and incidentals. I was incorrectly told they could not split the room charge and incidentals and that it would all have to charged to one card. So now I’ve got 2 credit card charges/authorization holding close to $1000 for a one night stay! Here we are a week later and I’m still waiting for one to drop off. We paid $350 for one nights stay at this 4-star hotel. I could have stayed at the Intercontinental or The Whitley for less money and they are 5 star hotels. There are many better hotel options in that area. I don’t think we’d stay here again.

Wonderfully unique boutique hotel in the heart of Buckhead. Restaurant and bar were great. Rooms very comfortable and decorated beautifully. Does not feel like your staying in a cookie cutter style hotel.

It’s an old Hampton inn remolded so still not worth the value

The staff at this hotel were the absolute rudest people I have ever encountered at a Marriott. DO NOT stay here. Both were front desk employees so I don’t know this hotel has a policy of inky hiring terrible human beings but it would appear that in the case

the location, the room was ok.. Not too much to like.

There was very poor lighting in the rooms. Couldn't see well at all. There was only 1 tiny wastebasket---and it was in the bathroom. There was 1 bottle of water--even though there were 2 adults in the room. The Keurig was broken, so we couldn't have a cup of coffee. Upon arriving, the person at the desk was prickly and not very helpful or user-friendlly. He SHOULD have been so. It was a fairly-expensive--not middle or low-end hotel, things should have been better than they were. Will not likely return to this hotel; it was a disappointing stay, and shouldn't have been.
