"Nice stay,but too expensive if you choose it for the pool!"

The rooms were very spacious with a nice terrace (only time in Japan we had an outside area). Amenities in the room and breakfast was good.

We selected this hotel because it had an outside swimming pool. But it turns out it was very expensive to enter the pool. Which we found ridiculous because it is already a not so cheap hotel.. after some discussion we decided to pay the price for 1 day,since we really felt like relaxing by a pool for one day,but then my partner was asked if he could cove his tattoos. Which would mean wear a wetsuit,because of tattoos on both arms and legs. I can understand you prohibit tattoos in a traditional hotel/traditional onsen,and uphold your traditions. But in such a modern hotel with also lots of western visitors,where you already charge so much for the pool,we found it very disappointing. We would have chosen a different hotel if this was more clear on the booking.com side.
