Extended Stay America Suites - Columbia - Northwest Harbison

Room smelled like musty feet. Was to have a pull out couch, there was none. Stained sheets. No items in the kitchen as stated to cook with. Ohhh and don’t forget the $100 surprise security deposit! Not worth the $132 if you get in late you have to call the company from phone at the door?!? After 14 hrs on the road definitely not what we wanted to walk into 🙄

It was quiet and clean. Professional staff at the front desk. I was not bothered by other guests like at other hotels that were noisier. I liked my room and I like how the bed is not right next to the door and the hallway.

Property is convenient to the highway and only 20-25 minutes from USC. Convenient to shopping and only 2 miles from Costco. AC Unit struggle to keep entire room cool so we had to lower to 64 to keep bed area which is away from AC cool.

Enjoyed the pool and free parking.

Check-in took way too long. Took about 30 minutes and after we were done with check-ins our keys didn’t work and had to come back down numerous times to get them recoded because they weren’t working. We had to change the battery to the door which I don’t think we should’ve had to do. I had requested online to have our rooms close and we ended up on different floors. The rooms smelled of damp and smoke. Carpets didn’t look very clean. I recommend bigger pool towels.

The location looks very beautiful

We booked our rooms and a few hours before check-in, they called and canceled our rooms. We were left stranded with the kids. We had to emergencyly booked another hotel which was very expensive. Booking.com only paid $49 additional, which is nothing.
