Roomy and comfortable

My room was dated and smelled terrible ( like a wet dog)

Booked a King room... they were out when we arrived. Had to stay in a double for the same price

Nice place close to a lot of places to eat and shop. Rooms were a good size, it was quiet and clean!

Ms Martha's grits was on point.. I grew up in Georgia but have lived away for the last 25 years with the Army. Those grits reminded me of home and it was nice to have that special personal touch you don’t find at other hotels. The rest of the staff was very helpful and hospitable.

Some bad but mostly good! The good: nice, big rooms. Lots of space. A good size kitchenette. Happy to have the mini fridge and microwave. The pull out couch and trundle were nice to have. The bed was big. The room was dark. It was quiet and I am usually sensitive to noises but I couldn’t barely hear a thing. Never had to wear earplugs. Nicest staff. Good, free, full breakfast buffet. Love that they have a washing machine and dryer! People nicely left behind detergent and softener sheets too. $1.50 to wash and $2 to dry. 30 min cycles and everything was dry! Front desk will give you quarters to use for your cash. Ice machine is a plus. Lobby is nice and people hung around there at night. Pool was clean. Good tv with lots of channels. Good, safe suburbs. Lots of restaurants nearby. Even walking distance. Close to the highway but no noise. The bad: no fan in the bathroom. So weird! Some towels were more threadbare than others. Some stains and honestly, the carpet felt dirty. Like I didn’t want to be on it barefoot. The couch and footrest was dark grey cloth and you could definitely see stains which was so gross. The wallpaper had weird stains. The tub area had a little mold (that they probably tried to get off and couldn’t. Use RMR-86 and it will be gone!). Hate that the pool was only open until 8 pm when it is still hot and sunny until 9:30. Such a bummer. The lighting around the sink area is practically nothing! I’ve never seen such little lighting at a mirror. Pillows weren’t for me but I’m old. :) Would I stay here again? Yes. Do I wish it were cleaner? Yes. Would I maybe look somewhere else and try another place? Yes.
