Baymont by Wyndham Jackson/Ridgeland

I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately encountered an issue with the air conditioning unit in my room, which caused water to leak onto the carpet. The affected area became soaked, apparently before I even checked in the room, and developed a noticeable mildew odor, which the water reached as far as the bedside. While the staff was courteous, a room change could not be accommodated until the following morning, which made for an uncomfortable first night. Additionally, I was informed that any refund request would need to go through corporate, which added another layer of inconvenience. Thankfully, I had relatives staying at the same hotel, which helped alleviate the situation. I hope the property is able to address this maintenance issue promptly for future guests.

Dirty room, weird smell.

Hallway on second floor was really in need of cleaning as was the elevator. Ice machines are quite old, though working. Room was clearly dated and could use refreshing.

The staff was nice, except one lady who was trying to leave when we were checking in, but the girl who took over was very kind. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The ceiling had some mold on it, tub had hair in it (wall and floor) from previous guests, toilet paper holder wouldn't hold the toilet paper so it kept falling off, and there were brown smudges on the walls.

The Staff exceeded customer expectation! Kind, friendly and they smiled frequently. Ms. D was simply Amazing very nice lady!!

This was the worst stay ever.....I won't ever stay in y'all hotel again. I want my money back for this...The hotel needs to regroup and revisit all procedure and policies .

The staff is very friendly and my whole stay was amazing also the breakfast was very good and the rooms where cleaned daily

We had one of the worst stay’s in a hotel we’ve ever had. We got to our room and our keys took 15 tries to work. Got inside the room and it was so mucky in there so we turned on the AC. The AC worked great and that’s about the only good thing I can say of this hotel. The carpets were wet, the sheets were dirty (all the way down to the mattress cover. Yellow spots and random hairs all over everything.), the lock to the room door was broken, the light switch in the bathroom was broken, the window wouldn’t close all the way (which is why we assume the carpets were wet.), I tried to call down to place a complaint and ask for new linen and the phones didn’t even work. I walked down to the concierge and told her about our room and she looked at me with the blankest stare. I had to speak again and said “I don’t know what you want to do. New linens. New room. Something.” Her words were “I can assure you I have no idea what to do either. We have no rooms available and this woman ‘waves her hand to the woman behind me in the waiting area’, has a complaint about her room too.” She offered to get me clean linens. Went to the room the change the sheets and you can tell the mattress protector had not been replaced. It had a FRESH yellow stain on it. We woke up the next morning, packed up, ate a small amount of the breakfast, which wasn’t awful, and placed a complaint with the morning concierge whom took notes of our stay and said corporate would be emailing us.
