Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mt. Holly by IHG

The staff are friendly and kind, but the rooms and furniture are run down and in need of upgrading/renovations. It also doesn’t seem like there is a plan in place to get the pool up and running again.

Very adequate for our trip from FL to ME. Great restaurant rec from check-in person.

The daytime / checkout manager and the check in staff were very friendly and helpful. The individual ( male) who worked 3-11 pm was not very help & very unprofessional. We booked this facility for a funeral / memorial service. With that being said we had 2 infants, one being autistic, the staffer was rude very uncaring. We were on the 3rd floor and our little one was very active and the front desk had gotten a complaint. At that time it was explained the situation and the staff was definitely not educated on Autism. It made my family feel some type of way about any future stays with this hotel chain.

Was disappointed that the gym and pool were closed. Hotel is a little off the beaten path and seemed sketchy area.

For the amount I paid i think the room should have been a little more up to date.

Had booked this a few months ago and there was no disclaimer that the pool was closed. I should have called to confirm. First room assigned smelled of mold. Immediately returned to front room and got new room assigned. That room had visible water damage and was not well cleaned. Decided to just cut our loses and drive straight home.

The management charge my credit card $150 for a deposit. The vast majority of hotels will file the credit card without charge unless there is damage. I had cash, which was refused. I told the clerk not to charge the credit card as I had issues with the credit card, but they charged my credit card regardless. I do not recommend the hotel nor will I return.

Will not come again.

Rooms need updating. Scratched paint, mismatched furniture, noisy plumbing. Exterior of building very nice, common areas neat and clean. Pool/fitness center under renovation.
