Fairmont Château Lake Louise

The shower was clogged as soon as we turned on the shower. We had to call 3 times and waited over 2 hours to finally have someone come after room service promised they were sending someone right away.

We dined at the Louisa restaurant on June 18th. We had a fabulous waitress whose name was Maxine. Very friendly and helpful. She took great great of us and would recommend you try this restaurant.

Loved it all. Can’t find a fault

We looked forward to staying at this hotel as part of our family holiday and it did not disappoint! The rooms were of the standard expected, the view over a partially frozen Lake Louise was out of this world and the hotel staff were all very pleasant. One small exception was a waiter in the Louiza restaurant who wouldn’t let my wife order her lamb well done as it would “ruin the meat” which we thought was a bit of an odd response to a customer’s request. That aside, the staff were great and one negative interaction wasn’t going to “ruin” our experience. The hotel is well equipped for families, there’s a kids check in desk which our daughter loved and the swimming pool has family sessions too. Externally, the footpath that runs the full length of the lake is very accessible and offered fantastic views back down towards the hotel. A wee hidden gem was the “living room” area situated above the main foyer. It has free drinks for hotel guests and plenty of by comfy couches. Lovely stay and we’ll certainly be back.

The property was a convenient location to really embrace the lake. They had a lot of hotel activities such as kids check-in with treasure box kids craft party s'mores at the fire and they had an adult cocktail class that you do need to register in advance all included.

The rooms felt a little small

We went for lunch but did not stay over. We didn’t know that Fairview Restaurant only has afternoon tea. We requested a move and were well accommodated! Ended up at Louiza with an amazing server, Ajay. Delicious food and drinks . Great view of Lake Louise. And the front desk decided to comp our parking fee!
