Fairmont Château Lake Louise

When stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise at the end of May and had a fabulous trip. It was our first time visiting Lake Louise and it was everything we hoped it would be. Our room was upgraded to one of the suites. The Basin experience was well worth the addition and provided breath taking views. The meals in the restaurants provided stunning views and excellent food. My wife commented how every host/hostess was kind and helpful. It was a perfect experience. To top it off they even ensured that the weather was beautiful.

The setting was beautiful. We had a standard room with a view, which was magnificent with two large windows. it was the best part of the experience.

We arrived around 1:30 PM and was told that our room would be available at 4 PM and if we did not arrive at the Bell Captain’s desk within a half our luggage would be brought to the room. Neither of those things happened. We finished our hike around 4:45pm and when we inquired about our room, we were told that the texting system was not working. On our way up to the room at 5 pm. we received a text which must’ve been sent earlier telling us that our room was ready and that our bags were in our room. However when we got to the room, no bags were there. Ultimately we needed to retrieve our luggage. The second issue is that when we made the reservation for dinner, we stated that this was to celebrate a birthday and the person who took the reservation seemed to make a big deal about this. When we arrived at the restaurant, I also stated that this was for a birthday. The way each of these staff members acted, I thought there would be some recognition given, but none was given. Lastly, brunch was understaffed if the desired outcome was to limit the number of people serving themselves in the very small buffet area. We’d assume we’d be able to come in, get some eggs, toast or muffins, and some fruit and leave for our plane in Calgary. Unfortunately, it took over 25 minutes to get get seated, order, and receive our food. The delay was not catastrophic. However, the whole experience was much less positive than we had anticipated.

4시 이전에 도착하여 방이 배정되면 문자 메시지를 보내겠다고 했으나 4시 이후에도 연락이 없어 프론트에 가서 문의 후 30분정도 더 기다렸다. 미안하다고 식음료 바우처를 주긴 했으나 일처리가 조금 늦는 것 같아 아쉬웠다.

Beautiful location and we had a room right in front of the lake.

Restaurant was very disappointing. Filet mignon was tough and overcooked. We were nevertheless charged for the full amount.

The location is INSANE! It really lets you explore and enjoy Lake Louise, and the surrounding areas! We stayed in the Junior King Suite for 2 nights, and really enjoyed the space and Lakeview it was magical! Restaurants were all really fancy, and menus were great!!

Disappointing and overated ,Stayed 3 nights which was enough , room 827 level 8 month of May 2026 The rooms are very small, 3m x 7m including bathroom,little to no storage for clothes, minimal floor space to open baggage, asked why reason constraints of original building layout. There is no 24 hour help desk as advertised . Luckily we had a lakeview room which only applies to odd number rooms , otherwise there would be no value in the stay at all. For $2,000 per night you could do a lot better somewhere else. Just a note lake louise itself is a beautiful place to visit

The beautiful location, the exceptional customer service at every touch point, the linen, amenities and style. A truly beautiful hotel.

We had booked a hillside view but in fact we were given a room looking at a concrete wall. Our room was very small. We also did not get the value of the CAD50 per night per room added to the bill for activities. We were only able to enjoy a smore round the camp fire as nothing else interested us at the time. After spending CAD1000 per night for the room, plus the 'activity' fee, an additional charge of CAD45 per night for parking. Beautiful but expensive.
