St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas

Lovely hotel -staff very helpful. Would stay again

We had a wonderful 10 night stay with our 5 month old son. The hotel is not particularly pram friendly and they could do with an earlier sitting for families but the staff are exceptional and very accommodating. The food was delicious every day and the resort maintains a very high standard. Would love to visit again...without the baby this time!

My recent stay was a return visit having stayed at St Nicolas Bay last year on a solo trip. This time I was accompanied by my partner and we stayed in a sea-view double room. Having viewed other hotels in the area online I felt this hotel still ticked all the boxes compared to the others. It has great views, clean rooms and beautifully kept gardens along with great food, excellent service and lovely spa. The beach isn't that expansive though so if you're wishing to spend all day on the sand this may not be quite the one for you-that said, the beach is clean and well looked after. I would happily return once again to this hotel.

Pros: Lovely infinity pool area with lots of sun loungers but could do with more of the larger umbrellas to shield from the sun. The staff were the nicest and most helpful of any of the hotels where we have stayed. The location is good approximately a 30 minute walk into the town of Ag Nik but as there is a steep hill to climb on the way back so we took a taxi. The premises are a little confusing to begin with but it doesn't take long to orientate yourself. There are slopes and stairs to negotiate but one man's wife who was in a wheelchair said it was not too bad as she could walk a little if required. We had half-board and could choose between the buffet (loads of food) or 4 - 5 choices on the menu. The food was pretty good and the desserts delicious. The breakfast was an extensive buffet and/or a menu choice. Cons: Our bed was very hard. We like a firm bed but this one was beyond that. After 2 nights we asked at the front desk if we could move rooms (from Room 230) but we were told that all the beds were the same. However we could have a mattress topper which made all the difference. I wish we had known that when we checked in. Also there was a one inch gap between the shower (half) door and the edge of the bath so water poured out and flooded the bathroom every time the shower was in use. It was such a pain mopping up all the water. We tried everything such as putting large towels down the outside of the bath to mop up the water but there was too much water

This was our 10th or 11th visit to St Nicholas Bay which speaks for itself. Thanks to all the staff as usual for welcoming us back - especially Yiannis from Blue Bay bar.

Just returned from a family holiday and have to say the hotel was definitely as good as previous reviews reported. Staff were wonderful and helpful, food excellent and beach clean and well maintained. Our 2 year old loved the kids play room and we were able to leave him with the nursery worker which was a bonus as the website had said that children under 4 would need parental supervision. We're quite fussy when it comes to nice hotels but this one definitely reached out expectations.

We had a very relaxing holiday staying at this hotel. We had an excellent standard room (it was more like an apartment with a double bedroom, 2 bathrooms, lounge area & large balcony). On arrival we were escorted to and given a quick tour of our room by the manager. The welcome pack included sparkling wine and pastries along with a large bottle of water. Also on arrival, the hotel asked if there was any special occasion during our stay - as it was our wedding anniversary, they arranged to provide a cake (it was a delicious chocolate cake) after our restaurant dinner! All the hotel staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. There was a huge variety available at the buffet breakfast, and table service was provided for ordering omelettes, pancakes, toast, tea/coffee. During our stay we ate at 2 of the hotel's a la carte restaurants, the food and ambience was superb, as was the service. The hotel's restaurants were a bit pricey (although the food is of a very high standard) but there were lots of reasonably priced tavernas nearby. The hotel has landscaped gardens which were a delight to walk through on the way to breakfast/pool/beach. There were lots of options for sunbathing: 2 pools, a small beach and extensive terraced areas next to the beach, so we never had a problem getting suitable sunloungers. The hotel provides fresh towels every day for sunbathing and waiter service all day. This hotel thoroughly deserves its 5 star rating. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff couldn’t do enough for you, we arrived very late and the manager got the restaurant to rustle us up some fantastic steaks washed down with plenty of Mythos. This was a great start to a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The only issue was the weather, but you can’t legislate for that.

This was a great getaway hotel, with great staff, food, and an awesome bartender at the seaside night bar (Yanes - and I am sure that I am misspelling that...)
