Lindo Mar Resort

This is a lovely quaint hotel with extremely friendly staff and we loved the location right on the ocean front. There are even paddle boards and kayaks for rent as well as snorkeling gear; it is just lovely!

I would love to invite friends over for a drink on our patio. No guests were allowed.

Beautiful resort at the water’s edge. Wonderful beach seconds from the lobby. The property has a boutique hotel feel to it. We stayed from Dec 9-16. We walked into town several times. The only negative for me was the use of plastic straws, single use plastic cups and styrofoam cups. One morning I found 2 styrofoam cups on the beach. You do have reusable plastic cups which could easily replace the single use ones. There’s enough garbage in the world without this wonderful resort contributing to it in this way.

Not much beach, but had great A/C and view. There are always issues (we can’t imagine how difficult it must be to please everyone), but from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, ALL the staff bent over backwards to provide 5-star service. Some simple things were out of order (eg, the refrigerator opened the opposite direction for the kitchen space and it probably could be corrected in less than a half hour and be useful for all future clients); in general, there was incredible attention to detail and service. However, we always find it a little odd that sooo much money is spent to get people there, then they try to save $3 dollars by providing cheap toilet paper/paper towels (something so essential to enjoying your days). Our main complaint is that it did not have free/reasonable laundry machines (as in most U.S. condos). Before we arrived, I had some reservations about Lindo Mar being “5-star”… (We only found it because the place we originally booked cancelled our trip. Usually we only do beaches, and Lindo Mar has a very “Pretty Sea” view but not much of a beach.) However, we can truly say that whatever they lack in size/accomodations (which were VERY nice/remodeled), they more than make up for with exceptional service. We would have gladly stayed another week. Nice full kitchen/stove and filtered water from the tap! There were a few dirty/greasy dishes (left by previous guests), but overall very clean resort. Further, it feels very home-like, creative, and artistic… not at all cookie-cutter… (The resort was cut into the side of a cliff, so the rooms are below the the Lobby which is on the 7th floor, i.e., an upside down “L”). What we liked most was their accomodating manner (not a lot of fastidious regulations).

Just returned for our 5th trip/stay at Lindo Mar. We had a beautiful unit with an excellent view. Staff, in all areas, are great. Special Thanks to Alonso, Claudia, Sarahi, Antonio, Joel, and all the other wonderful staff.

This was our 4th visit to Lindo Mar. A friend came with us this time. We love it here. We love the location of the facility. We love the staff here. We so enjoyed the food and drinks on site this visit. It is an excellent place to visit.

We've stayed at Lindo Mar many times over the past fifteen years, or so, and really enjoy it. It's not new or fancy like many newer resorts, but the location is hard to beat. The small beach and restaurant are really great. It seems like many owners use their weeks, so it is not easy for a non-owner to book a unit.

Yesterday we had the perfect example by the restaurant manager (with glasses) how not to treat customers. My wife and I had just walked along the beach from the main boardwalk and ended up at the restaurant. We decided to have a couple drinks and told the friendly server we will think about having some food in a few minutes. 10 minutes after our drinks arrived the manager shows up and loudly announced that we had to go to the bar as we weren't having food. He mentioned many Mexican families will want to sit at the table. It was roughly 2pm and the restaurant was a quarter full and there was no line up. So we picked up our drinks and started heading to the bar and we said we won't be coming back. The manager said "good ". At this point I was laughing because he was so over the top rude I couldn't believe it. Anyways server and bartender were great, but the Gordon Ramsey wannabe should be let go ASAP. Needless to say we won't be going back with so many restaurant options in PV.

Sorry but the staff wasn't that friendly this trip, this is my second time there. Location is great and restaurant is good, neat and clean but I paid extra money to RCI to contact the resort and give permission for a family member to check in early because we weren't going to get their until late. They still refused to let him in so he had to go and find another place to stay for the night. I was never refunded from RCI. We also requested the room where the master suite has the ocean view in advance and they gave us the bottom room with a pool view, The beds are extremely hard I mean their terrible, I honestly don't know if I can stay their again because ion it so uncomfortable and the couch isn' much better.

Recentl, I visited the Lindo Mar Restaurant a couple times for lunch and then once for dinner, always great service and good food. Waiters like Pino made it enjoyable. Was heading over today from our condo across the street at Costa de Oro for some breakfast and upon entering, was immediately approached by the facilities manager. He told us this was not for beach access, I explained we were going to the beach, obvious from the beach umbrellas we had, but first we were having breakfast in the restaurant. He told us we must leave our umbrellas upstairs and when we finished our meal, we would need to bring the receipt to basically "prove" we really ate there, you're kidding me right? This is how you treat patrons? Returning patrons nonetheless! I made a choice and chose not to patronize this establishment because of the manager's actions. Such a shame for the Restaurant staff as well as they did nothing to deserve it yet they are affected because of the manner with the poor people skills. I did find a delightful restaurant next door, had a great breakfast and then headed to the beach! Bottom line, the restaurant is great if you can get past the guard dog/manager!
