Super 8 by Wyndham Omaha Eppley Airport/Carter Lake

Location

Very worn out looking, needs updating. Asked reception for a shuttle in the morning, they put me on a later time than I asked for. Morning reception was on her phone and appeared to be live chatting. Whatever.

Close to airport and very convenient.

Breakfast was limited to cereal, oatmeal, and waffles only. No other options available. No elevator if that is an issue. Very close to Omaha airport with fast and free shuttle service. Plenty of parking available.

To begin with, when I pulled up I was in fear of my safety. What came to mind was guns, hookers and drugs. The odor was of vomit. The girl working did get snotty with me when I asked if I was safe staying there. Needless to say she told me I was on the 2nd floor and there were no elevators. It was 630pm and possibly 2 cars in parking lot, she said she couldn’t change it. I asked her to please check as I was having a total knee replacement in upcoming days and was in pain. She then had a room. We checked into horror- my anxiety was off the charts fearful of rodents, bed bugs etc. I finally calmed down and fell asleep in my clothes on top of bed. I was exhausted from traveling and fear that I must have went into a deep slumber, but not without barricading the door with my suitcase, turning tv on loud and leaving every light on. At 930pm I was woken up by a clerk in my room saying-“ what’s your name, what’s your name.” Talk about fearing for my life.. I told her my name and told her to get out. A few mins later I stormed to desk to question this completely inappropriate behavior- was given a lame excuse and told not to raise my voice- guess what now they charged me twice!! Never anything like this happened. I am an RN, I was just trying to stay close to airport. Wow just wow

Room breakfast and location

I scheduled for the shuttle and they left my family with 3 small children stranded in thr middle of the night and were no help at getting us back to the motel. We aren't from a city and didn't know how to get a ride. Luckily we found airport staff help us out.

I enjoyed the breakfast, but fruit would be a great addition.

I'm not a fan of carpet.

Homeless near the lake and hotel

the location was great! The staff were great!The room was clean, But the roach in the bathroom..not so great :(

Could use some updates

The curtains and rods were falling off the wall. Lipstick on the pillowcase. Sheets rumpled. Water in sink trickled.No phone, no microwave, no amenities shown on Travelocity website. Noise and music and running vehicles outside my window all nite. I was scared to leave my room. I looked at two other rooms there that were worse. Holes in the drapes. Stained bedspread. I cannot express how terrible it was. I learned from my Skycap at the airport that this motel is in the drug district. The condition of the building is a bad representation for Travelocity and for Wyndham

This motel is a disgrace to the name Travelocity and the name Wyndham. The drapes had holes that they clamped together with a paper clip. Drapes falling off the walls. Cars doing short-term parking outside my window all night. Loud music all night. Water barely trickled. No amenities in the room. No Phone to call the desk. we had previously used this location for 35 years, Never again!!! We were told the area is the drug district of Omaha and Council Bluffs.
