Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol Near FSU

I stayed at the Wyndham in Tallahassee during graduation weekend. Upon arrival, we were informed there was no hot water, and despite the inconvenience, we were told no refund or accommodation was able to be given. Given the busy weekend, alternative hotels were either unavailable or extremely overpriced, so we decided to stay and hoped the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately, the experience only worsened. When we entered the room, there was a large cockroach in the entryway. The room itself appeared poorly cleaned, with visible dust and hair under the bed and in the corners. The bathroom and shower was also in very poor condition and very clearly needed maintenance. When we informed a housekeeping attendant about the cockroach, we were told it was “expected” because the hotel had sprayed for bugs the day before. We informed the staff that we moved the roach into the hallway for disposal (completed this task as they watched), but it remained there for AT LEAST eight hours while staff (and unfortunately guests) walked by. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Nothing, it was not clean.

Everything was bad. The customer service was bad. The rooms were not clean. Everything in the facility was either broke or barely working. There were no cameras. None of the fire things were working in the stairwell. The hot water did not work the entire time we were there. We had to take cold showers for two days.

Location was good relation to venue

The refrigerator, telephone did not work, we woke up to the entire building having no hot water! We tried to contact the front desk using our cell phones as the phone in the room didn’t work and no answer. The ironing board leg fell off when I opened it. Called again the property later in the day to discuss and still no answer. This was FSU graduation so it wasn’t like there were other options. Very disappointing!

awful experience no hot water only way to get credit or refund was to check out and go somewhere else. It was graduation weekend other hotels were much more expensive but people who stayed paid full price no compensation and the staff was so rude m. We’ve stayed there before but will never again nor recommend

Nothing. There were no redeeming qualities.

It was filthy. The hot water was broken and the staff was rude and told guests checking in the police would be called if people got angry.
